HotForex - Important Change For Islamic Account Holders

In our continued practice of full transparency and providing the best possible trading conditions for all clients, we would like to inform you of some minor changes applicable to your trading account.

 

As a result of increased costs from Liquidity Providers that are beyond our control, a Carry charge will be applied on selected currency pairs when holding overnight positions beyond a 7 day period. Any positions held open within the first 7 days are done so with no charge whatsoever.

 

Following the seventh day, the Carry charge is automatically applied on a daily basis in accordance with the table below (the Carry charge is expressed in USD per standard lot):

 

 

Any clients that already have open positions for more than 7 days will start getting charged the Cost of Carry as of end of day Thursday the 21st of March 2013 (only on the instruments outlined in the above table)

Dear Valued Client,

 

As per our previous email sent last week, please note that HotForex follows British Correction for Daylight Savings Time. However, some of our banks do not follow the same standards. Therefore, HotForex will be applying the following changes to our trading times: 

 

Between March 10th and March 31st:

• Market will close one (1) hour EARLY on Friday's at 21:00 GMT (Current Server Time is GMT+2)
• Rollovers will be one (1) hour EARLY at 21:00 GMT (Current Server Time is GMT +2)
• Market will open normally at 22:00 GMT on Sunday

From March 31st onward:

• HotForex will change its server GMT offset to GMT +3 (to Match British Summer Time)
• Market close, open, and rollover times will be set at 21:00 GMT +3 (Market Watch Time) 
• Market will close as normal at 21:00 GMT (GMT+3) 

Please change your EA settings accordingly.

Dear Valued Client,

In the early hours of Sunday, November 4th, 2012 Daylight Saving Time will be ending in the United States. As a result, our  forex and metals instruments, as well as a number of CFD products will be experiencing a change in their quote and trading sessions effective from market open on November 4th, 2012.

The server time will change to GMT+2 (used to be GMT+3) so any clients using any Expert Advisors (EA's) should adjust accordingly.

The new session times for forex instruments will be as follows:

Quote Session: Starts at 22:00 GMT Sunday and ends at 22:00 GMT Friday.

Trade Session: Starts at 22:15 GMT Sunday and ends at 22:00 GMT Friday.

The quote and trading sessions are continuous with no daily breaks.

The new session times for metals instruments will be as follows:

Due to popular demand HotForex has decided to add the USD Index as a non-tradable instrument on the live and demo HotForex Metatrader and Webtrader terminals.

 

The US Dollar Index is a measure of the value of the U.S. dollar relative to a majority of its most significant trading partners. This index is similar to other trade-weighted indexes, which also use the exchange rates from the same major currencies.

 

Currently, this index is calculated by factoring in the exchange rates of six major world currencies: the euro, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar, British pound, Swedish krona and Swiss franc. This index started in 1973 with a base of 100 and is relative to this base. This means that a value of 120 would suggest that the U.S. dollar experienced a 20% increase in value over the time period.

Our clients can now use the USD Index chart for performing better analysis in deciding the future direction of the US Dollar.

To view the index please right click within the Market Watch and select 'Show All'.

You will then be able to view it at the bottom of the Market Watch window within MT4. HotForex will continue rolling out new products and services in an ongoing effort to improve the offering to its clients.

Due to popular demand HotForex decided to extend the hours of operation of the Finance Department.

Currently our Finance department is open between the times of 7AM GMT and 10PM GMT (Mon-Fri) and all deposits are made instantly during those times.

In addition to the above hours of operation the Finance Department will now be also open for business on Saturday between the hours of 10AM GMT and 2PM GMT and Sunday between the hours of 12 Noon GMT and 4PM GMT.

We will also offer "Live Chat" support during the extended hours.

HotForex is proud to announce an upgrade of its innovative PAMM program for Fund Managers and Investors. The official launch date of the new system will be Monday 22th of August 2011.

The new HotForex PAMM offers better performance statistics allowing for more efficient monitoring of a Fund's performance. This will allow Investor's to make highly informed decisions and Fund Manager's to better demonstrate their performance.

no interruption whatsoever.

In line with the HotForex commitment to continually improve its trader experience, we are pleased to announce that we will be adding to our liquidity and product range.

Following the introduction of the additional liquidity you will be now be able to trade the FTSE 100, S&P 500, NASDAQ, DAX and much more all from your HotForex account. In total you will have access to 12 worldwide indices all of which can be traded on margin from within a platform that you are already comfortable. Whether you are trading with the HotForex MT4 platform, WebTrader or new I-Phone application you will never be far from the world stock markets. In addition to this, we will also be adding to our Gold and Silver products by streaming prices in Euro as well as the conventional United States Dollar.

The final change in the product range will be the addition of new currency pairs pushing the total number on offer to over 40.

Whilst these changes will be to the long term benefit of the trader it does mean that we will have to make some changes to the way that the platform deals with margin on all products and the trading sizes associated to Gold, Silver and Oil. These changes will take place following the close on the 22nd July and be in force from this date. In order to check the contract specifications, you will need to refer to the HotForex website or alternatively follow this link for further information.

In order to avoid any potential margining issues with regards to open oil, gold and silver positions, we kindly ask that you check that any positions held have sufficient free equity to cover their margining requirements. All the margining requirements are available on the website. In the event that you do not have the equity to cover the position you should close the trades and re-open with smaller volumes under the new regime.

Please note that the margin for Forex positions opened prior to the changes will not be affected.

Any commodity positions that are not closed will be under the new margining requirements and wherever necessary Gold, Silver and Oil will be adjusted to reflect their current size under the new regime. We will not be held liable for any open positions that have been stopped out due to insufficient margin.

In order to implement the above changes we will be closing all trading activity on Friday 22nd July at 20:00 GMT.

HotForex is pleased to announce that as of Monday the 4th of July it will be extending its trading hours.

In line with our commitment for continual improvements in the trading conditions we provide our Traders with, HotForex will be streaming live prices as of 00:00 (GMT +3) on the Monday and closing the weekly sessions on the Friday at 23:00 (GMT +3).

As a result of the above change the server times will be as follows;

Dear Trader,
After seeing the demand from our clients for flexible bonus policies HotForex had decided to offer two Bonus Policies.
Therefore, as of June 1st 2011, HotForex clients will have the ability to choose between two bonus policies depending on their trading style.

50% Withdraw Bonus

This Bonus Program is intended to increase the trading volume of the Customer's Accounts. If all requirements of this Trading Bonus program are met, the bonus sum placed in your account can be withdrawn without any limitations or restrictions.

Under this policy the bonus cannot be lost.

Benefits:

a. Can be used as increased Leverage
b. If volume requirements are met bonus can be withdrawn
c. Relaxed Time Limit for completing Volume Requirements. This encourages prudent trading
d. Effectively makes the stop out level on original balance as zero

 

15% Rescue Bonus

This HotForex Bonus Program is intended to protect accounts from drawdown periods. The Bonus can be lost with no limitations and also used as margin.

Under this policy the Bonus cannot be withdrawn.

Benefits:

a. Can be used as Increased Leverage
b. Can be lost so it can actually protect accounts from Margin Calls and Stop Outs during drawdown periods
c. Effectively makes the stop out level on original balance as zero
